The installer/ is already sold, so fine.
Leaves only debian-cd to verify it doesn't fall over it (expected not to,
but verification not yet there) and then it should be all ok.
d-i: works,
debmirror: probably just replaces the symlinks with real dirs. Thats fine.
reprepro: doesnt care about d-i
ftpsync: sure as hell works
any mirror using rsync with homebaked stuff: as long as they use the
right rsync options. But if they don't, they are already
screwed. So no change here.
