has caused the Debian Bug report #386880,

Bug report if necessary, and/or fix the problem forthwith.

Ok, in that case let's make a wishlist bug out of this so that the discussion is
not forgotten.  I'll revisit this post-etch.

This bug is now pointless. Users can choose cdn.d.n which has exactly
the purpose of sennding you to the "right" mirror, according to one's
IP address.
