Comments/Problems:

Booted via serial console with command:
  bootp(): append="console=ttyS0,38400 BOOT_DEBUG=1"

I had the machine connected to a LAN hosting apache serving all required
files from DVD debian-testing-mips-DVD-1. When setting up the local
mirror and trying to go further I got this error:

because the dvd image is missing the "Release.gpg" file. I checked that
at least "Release" file is available. I really don't know how to
continue the installation.

I downloaded the new testing image (dated 20081215) but i found the same
problem: "dists/lenny/Release.gpg" is still missing.

Any hint?

Thanks,
Giuseppe

This is a user problem. CD images are very simple not intended to be used
as network mirrors!

You can still do this by using the option to allow unauthenticated use of
APT. See the relevant boot option described in the Installation Guide.

FJP
