It looks like #502618 http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=502618 describes the same problem. I checked and there are also partitions on top of the logical volumes on my system. Could someone please merge these two bug reports or mark them as "duplicate" or whatever it is you do in a case like this?
