Comments/Problems:

This machine is connected to a SAN (IBM DS4300 701) via a qlogic controller
(QLA2312 Fibre Channel Adapter) that is not recognized. The kernel drivers
are qla2xxx and qla2300. But the SAN isn't proposed by the partitioner, so
I had to use locale disks.

Moreover, even when rebooted, the qla2xxx drivers did not load correctly
its firmware, giving an error.

BTW, installing on local disks went smootly. Network and USB are working
correctly. I did not check X11.

Bye,
Giuseppe

The installer currently does not support loading separately packaged
firmware or loading packages from non-free. Supporting this is planned
for post-Etch, but depends on what the project will allow us which is
currently under discussion.

The firmware is contained in a separate firmware-qlogic package that is in
non-free. Did you install that?

As the installation in general was successful and the reported issues are
known, I'm closing your report. Thanks very much for filing it.

Cheers,
FJP
