I guess this used to be correct, but now it's simply /debian and I had to correct it. As you can see in lspci, this machine has 3 network boards: 1 e100 and 2 bcm5704. During installation, the e100 board was detected as eth0, and the 2 bcms as eth1 and eth2. After reboot, the 2 bcms were detected as eth0 and eth1, the e100 board was detected as eth2, so that the Internet configuration was wrong, and exim took a few tenth of seconds before giving up. Couldn't the install-report.template automatically include the uname -a, date, lspci, lspci -n lines itself? It could also automatically include the debconf choices for debian mirror, proxy, etc...

Why don't you download a more recent version of the image? http://www.debian.org/devel/debian-installer -- see shy joAttachment: signature.asc
