Bug#339379: [g-i] Crash if switch to VT2 when fe is busy

Package: cdebconf-gtk-udeb
Severity: normal

if you switch to a VT (i.e ctrl-alt-f2) while the graphical frontend
is busy, the fe itself crashes; easily reproducible for example while
progressbar is running during he detection.

If you switch while the graphical frontend is waiting for input, the
problem does not occur.
This is known to happen both on i386 and ppc.

On AMD64 the fe crashes also if you try to switch when the fe is
waiting for input; I tested this only with qemu installations and not
with real hardware. This AMD64 problem _might_ be same as the one for
i386 and PPC but I'm not sure about this and is probably even more serious,
since there's no way to do any sort of debug since it's not possible
to have access to a shell.

regards,
Davide
