Re: Strange keyboard handling in the GTK installer: Shift not working
Hi Christian,
Hi just tried to reproduce the problem using Qemu and both the i386
And the AMD64 images

Using the i386 VM I reproduced the error, and I noticed that if you
switch
To VT2 via ctrl-alt-f2 (for example), the shift key works on the
terminal, were I can type both
Capitalized and not capitalized characters: so it seems like the problem
is
GTKFB (as you suggested)
If I use the AMD64 VM the problem does _not_ show up, so shift+key just
works.
In this case though, you cannot switch to another terminal because the
fe seems
To crash, but this is another issue.
I tried again with the i386 and instead of using French
language/keyboard layout, I selected
Italian language/keyboard layout and shift+key works, so this would
suggest the problem is
With GTKFE && keyboard layout/type
Have you tried it with real hardware? In that case I'd suggest filing a
bug
Ciao,
Davide
