Comments/Problems:
I originally thought, based on an early attempt with a probably buggy
kernel, that 2.4 kernels wouldn't work on VME hardware. After getting my
hardware fixed again, and having found out recently that this assumption
was incorrect, I did a d-i testrun.
The good news is that it mostly works; only vmelilo-installer doesn't seem
to work for a non-obvious reason. After rebooting with tftplilo again (which
was used for booting the installer) with a root= parameter set, the
installation went along nicely.
I'm reviewing the installer logs right now, in an attempt to fix the issue.

I fixed this bug with 1.8.1, in time for the sarge release. Apparently,
though, I forgot to close it...
