Severity: minor

   Hi,

Some notes of glitches in section C4 (Install debootstrap) of the
 installer manual:

C.4.4.1. Mount Partitions:

example /etc/fstab should use "1" in the pass field for root

C.4.4.2. Configure Keyboard:

 # dpkg-reconfigure console-data

=3D> a note should say the keyboard can't be set from the chroot, but
 will be on next reboot

C.4.4.3. Configure Networking:

/etc/resolv.conf is borken in the chroot if you use the "resolvconf"
package right now. I know the di manual insn't a placeholder for
debootstrap's bugs (this is #161987 :) but I think this one should be
mentionned.

I have made changes for most comments in this bug report. If you have a=20
chance to check them, I'd appreciate that.

There is one I'm not sure about, and that is your comment:
    C.4.4.5. Configure Locales
...is obsolete, locales is installed when you're finished with
     base-config

Do you mean that locales is installed, or also that the debconf dialog has=
=20
been shown asking the user to select which locales to generate?
Is this always true?

IIRC we schedule locales for installation separately in the installer...

I'm closing this report as most issues have been dealt with. Feel free to=20
submit a new bug for the locales issue.

Cheers,
=46JP
