Plan to fix this: Make disk-detect, ethdetect, and possibly cdrom-detect each have their own code that creates a list of disks, ethernet cards, etc. Display the list to the user in expert mode. If the user says it's not found all hardware of that type, continue on to the existing manual module selection code paths. Continue until user is satisfied. -- see shy jo
