Description: Debian base system configurator
This package handles setting up the Debian base system. It contains the
configuration program you see when you install Debian for the first time
and boot up your new Debian system.
.
It can be removed with no ill effects -- once your Debian system is
installed, this package's only useful function is to allow you to
reconfigure some things.

Problem:

I've just update and upgraded apt. The results from apt-get upgrade were:

Reading Package Lists... Done
Building Dependency Tree... Done
The following packages have been kept back:
  base-config
0 upgraded, 0 newly installed, 0 to remove and 1 not upgraded.

I apt-get dist-upgraded and the output was:

Reading Package Lists... Done
Building Dependency Tree... Done
Calculating Upgrade... Done
The following packages have been kept back:
  base-config
0 upgraded, 0 newly installed, 0 to remove and 1 not upgraded.

I apt-get installed base-config and the output was:

Reading Package Lists... Done
Building Dependency Tree... Done
The following packages will be REMOVED:
  tasksel
The following packages will be upgraded:
  base-config
1 upgraded, 0 newly installed, 1 to remove and 0 not upgraded.

Finally, i apt-get'd install tasksel base-config

Reading Package Lists... Done

tasksel is already the newest version.
Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have
requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable
distribution that some required packages have not yet been created
or been moved out of Incoming.
The following information may help to resolve the situation:

The following packages have unmet dependencies:
base-config: Conflicts: tasksel (< 2.25) but 2.24 is to be installed
E: Broken packages

I am running testing and it seems that base-config is conflicting with tasksel.

Thanks,

~Mike Bentzen
