Any chance you could get some more info on what the problem is with 2.4? If you could just boot up, let it fail, and then save the install logs off to floppy, or to your hard disk, that would work. Or just try to modprobe 8139too by hand from the 2.4 install system and see how it fails there. -- see shy jo
