I think also another look should be taken at:
#238179: Issues errors when checking some ext3 file systems
when usage method "use existing format" is chosen.
This is an extremely silly error for a release candidate.
I have just done some testing:
- - on my desktop where the partition to check is on /dev/hdb, the check fails
- - on my laptop where the partition to check is on /dev/hda, the check runs OK
Could it be the check is performed on the wrong device and fails to find the
requested partition?
I will submit additional information and logs to the original bug report.
