As far as I understood this problem (at least my logs look similar in my
point) is that libuuid is missing. The line
Apr 29 22:49:31 (none) user.info main-menu[273]:
(process:5876): /var/lib/dpkg/info/partitioner.postinst: error while loading
shared libraries: libuuid.so.1: cannot open shared object file: No such file
or directory
This keeps me from getting my sarge installation done at the moment.
