Re: Installation Report for debian Installer

Please send those to -boot, not to me personally.

| d-i REPORT
| ==============
|
| the debian-installer fails to detect Network-cards on 2 Computers.
|
| It look like you must have a networkcard for installing with d-i,
| d-i everytime jumps back to Detect Network Hardware because detect
| fails. this is a bug!

You don't need a netword card unless you have downloaded a netinst
image. Those do, of course, require a network connection. Also, it's
a bit hard to help when you don't tell what kind of network card you
have.

| it is not possible to give module parameters, but my Networkcard need them:
|
| modprobe ne io=0x300
| (without io=0x300 detection fails)

It is, but you need to lower the debconf priority.

| On my Notebook detection of the PCMCIA-Networkcard fails,
| but PCMCIA_CS support my Networkcard...

A little more error information would be helpful.
