More info. On the target host:

	chroot /mnt
	cp -a /etc/lilo.config /etc/lilo.config.bak
	cp -a /usr/share/lilo/contrib/sid.bmp /boot
	liloconfig
	lilo

works but is not what I want.

By playing with the options it appears that
I cannot use install=menu at all because there are
no boot.* files installed. They are not listed in
the lilo.list for sid or sarge, so where do they
come from now?
