Comments/Problems:

Install went swimmingly. Main comments are:

* The initial net install gave me no option but to download from 
ftp.au.debian.org, which from Australia is slooow :-(

* The generated LILO configuration is rather minimal and in particular doesn't
pause much to let you press Shift to interrupt it

* I didn't get a lot of choice in whether or not I was going to get pcmcia-cs
installed, and it's pointless on my system

other than that, it was really really straightforward. It seemed to completely
bypass network configuration presumably because it got a DHCP lease
successfully. Only complaint here is I didn't get an opportunity to set the
hostname, and localhost is so Red Hat...
