Hello everybody on this list,
Recently I have been preparing a course about 'Secure Linux
Installations' and one of my proposals was to configure a simple
firewall before connecting the machine to the network.
While preparing the course materials I installed Red Hat 9 and, to my
surprise, they have this functionality; their installer includes a
simple firewall configurator.
Has anybody thought about including this (optional) functionality on
the new Debian Installer? Is anybody else interested or working on it?
I think it is a good idea but I want to know if trying to implement it
is worth the effort. Excuse me if the answer to this question is
answered anywhere else, I've just dowloaded the d-i cvs repository but
I haven't started to look at it.
Greetings,
Sergio.
