At which point, exactly after the language selection? Could you please create
a debug report? To do this, enter "linux.bin debug" (or <cdflavor> debug) at
the boot prompt, wait till the glitch appears and then save the installation
log on a blanc floppy or so. This is done with the "Create a Problem Report")
in the main menu. Also interessting are kernel logs (create them with
"dmesg > /kernel.log") and the list of your cdrom drives,
/proc/sys/dev/cdrom/info.

That should not be a problem. It would be interessting if you have been using
an exotic partition table tough.

Installer looks for Debian-CDs. When this is your CDROM, then the issue is
solved - the quickly disappeared message may be just a message about loading
of the language catalogue from the CD.
