Problem with libc6-pic

Hi all

With the current libc6 packages I am unable to create a minimal subset of it
using Markus Brinkmann's mklibs.sh script. The exact error message is:

/usr/bin/ld: /tmp/,mklibs.4082/lib-so: undefined versioned symbol name
__lxstat64@GLIBC_2.1
/usr/bin/ld: failed to set dynamic section sizes: Bad value
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
/usr/sbin/mklibs.sh: install-small-lib: gcc or objcopy failed. 

Does this mean that the libc6-pic package is broken ? Or does it simply not
match the current libc6 package ?

If anybody could give me a hint on where to search further, I would be very
happy. At the moment I am stuck and this problem prevents me from releasing the
next version of my Gibraltar distribution (Debian-based firewall distribution
runnable directly from a live CD-ROM).
