Bug#67641: APT Configurator ignores "local" and other unknown package areas

Package: boot-floppies
Version: 2.2.16

During installation, selecting the following APT configuration
methods:
 ftp
 http
 filesystem

only selects main, contrib and non-free areas; other areas
available (e.g. specifically in my case, potato/local) are
silently ignored; the only way to add them is "edit by hand".

Can they either be included automatically, or offered to
the user for inclusion?
