Maybe, this will be resolved when you reboot the system.
(You can add "smc-ultra" in /target/etc/modules by hand (at shell mode))
I've same problem on installation (2.2.8) when I tried to install pcnet32
driver (Because I'm testing Debian installation on VMWare.)
Has this problem resolved already?
