In case those are bugfix releases, would it be better to have those via
Debian stable?

A stable update require *severe* bugs, I don't think that bar is reached
with the changes up to 1.0.2.

A stable update don't require "severe" bugs really.

I can't say anything about freecad and the bugs fixed in its
bugfix releases. But I try to keep debian stable (and oldstable)
with current upstream point/stable/bugfix releases of a few
packages I maintain. Some of the updates fixes "important" bugs
in debian BTS, some don't have references in debian BTS at all,
but it's almost always a good list of issues fixed from release
to release. This includes samba and qemu packages, for example.

Thanks,
