Re: backport of openjdk11 to Trixie?

Hello.
when I need to use newer JDKs on older debian versions or older JDK on newer debian releases I usually use zulu builds:

https://docs.azul.com/core/install/linux-ca-deb

I don't know their open source policy but their packages solved all the problems for me.

Alex

would it be possible to get a backport of openjdk 11 to Trixie?
Microsoft's intune-portal package (made for Ubuntu 24.04) depends
upon openjdk 11:

openjdk-11 is not in forky which makes it unsuitable for an official backport.

Sure, my bad.

The termurin-11-jre packages may be an option for you:

The intune-portal package explictly asks for openjdk-11-jre. Temurin's
JDK doesn't provide this package name, so I had thought about creating
a small local package depending upon Temurin's JDK.

Anyway, thank you very much for your response

Harri
