a) nobody ever implemented it b) sometimes you want to allow exceptions, for example when there are critical bugs or security fixes
understood.of course there's always a "but couldn't we..." (oh, the joys of parental life), so: i guess "critical bugs" and "security fixes" would typically have a higher-than-normal "Urgency" which i think would allow us to discriminate the ordinary cases from the fast-track (by-hand) cases.
but i guess, i should stop this thread now unless i was willing to actually do an implementation myself.
i probably *am* willing to do this (unless the codebase was written in perl), but don't even know where to start (heck, i don't even know where to look for info to get me started; i'm aware that this doesn't sound very reassuring of my skills, but nevertheless...).
