Why?
It's perfectly OK to have complex software that needs to fasttrack dependencies in private repositories. The only advantage of <foo>-backports is to get full architecture coverage, but that's not big issue in this case.
Get gitlab.debian.net domain and host it there.
Your proposed plan would just create mayhem and chaos in the stretch-backports suite, gitlab isn't really suited for backporting because of the scale.
