I believe there's a misunderstanding: the AppArmor userspace in
Stretch works fine with any currently supported kernel from stable
and newer.

The only case where #883703 might still be relevant is if you run one
of the few versions of Linux that were affected by the bug (4.14.x <<
4.4.13, 4.15-rcN << 4.15-rc7), in which case the workaround is to
either disable feature-set pinning or to ensure your feature-set
includes the "mount" operation. None of these kernels are in
Debian anymore.
