As you can see the tracker page of linux kernel [0], 4.8 already hit
jessie-backports:
  stable-bpo: 4.8.11-1~bpo8+1

and 4.8.15 will have backports only after it hit testing/stretch [1].
(I found it just hit testing/stretch today)
