I've built the package for jessie-backports, following https://backports.debian.org/Contribute/#index5h3 as best as possible.
The results are in http://voltagex.neocities.org/debian/backports/python-boto-backport.tar
Unfortunately NeoCities doesn't allow directory listing so I've tarred up all required files.

I don't have time to become the maintainer of this package at the moment as I only use it a few times a year.

Hopefully these files help someone later. They'll be hosted there as long as I can - if you stumble across this message
and the files are gone, please get in contact with me.
