I have a pending need for python-django-tables2 > 1.0 to be available in jessie-backports (to complement the python-django and lava-server backports already available). I'm willing to do the backport myself - probably this weekend. I'd be equally happy if someone else arranged it - please let me know if you would prefer to do the backport. I've tested that the version of python-django-tables2 in stretch 1.0.7-1 does work on jessie with the version of python-django in jessie-backports (1.8.12-1~bpo8+1).
