Re: backport of socat

Hi, I can backport it if needed, but I would like to hear an ack from Laszlo
(and for sure I would backport it after the new version reaches testing, for the security issue)

cheers,

G.

Hi,

I'd like to see a backport of socat (1.7.3.1 or later) to stable.

The feature I want is that socat now actually checks the server's
name against the certificate it presents when using openssl-connect.
(Something that stunnel4 still doesn't do.)

Can you upload socat to backports? Should somebody else do it?

Cheers,
