If you haven't done so already, please subscribe to the
debian-backports list. Bug reports against backported packages are
supposed to be reported to the list itself, and as a backport
maintainer it'll be your responsibility to address these reports.

DMs can upload to backports in the same way as any non-NEW uploads,
provided that you've been added to the backports ACL list [1] (and of
course you have to sign your package with a key in the keyring, and be
granted DM upload privileges for the package(s) in question [2]).
