Dear all,
sorry that I have to come back to this.
Indeed, the missing files are included. When I extract the package, I get:
'rtl8105e-1.fw rtl8168d-2.fw rtl8168f-1.fw rtl8168g-3.fw
rtl8106e-1.fw rtl8168e-1.fw rtl8168f-2.fw rtl8402-1.fw
rtl8106e-2.fw rtl8168e-2.fw rtl8168g-1.fw rtl8411-1.fw
rtl8168d-1.fw rtl8168e-3.fw rtl8168g-2.fw rtl8411-2.fw'
However, after installing with
apt-get -t wheezy-backports install firmware-realtek
I get error messages:
[ 15.626248] r8169 0000:02:00.0: firmware: failed to load rtl_nic/rtl8168g-2.fw (-2)
[ 15.626284] r8169 0000:02:00.0: Direct firmware load failed with error -2
[ 15.626285] r8169 0000:02:00.0: Falling back to user helper
[ 15.811281] r8169 0000:02:00.0 eth0: unable to load firmware patch rtl_nic/rtl8168g-2.fw (-12)
Another 'ls /lib/firmware/rtl_nic/' gives:
rtl8105e-1.fw rtl8168d-2.fw rtl8168e-2.fw rtl8168f-1.fw
rtl8168d-1.fw rtl8168e-1.fw rtl8168e-3.fw rtl8168f-2.fw
After copying the files from the extracted package, the error messages disappear, of course.
So there seems to be a problem in the installation process of the package firmware-realtek_0.43_all.deb. Can't figure it out yet.
Kind regards
Juergen
