If it's not too inconvenient, could you give me a few weeks and ping me
again?

I'm about to be working on the packages for other reasons, and I've been
thinking of providing a backport (but obviously haven't gotten to it).

I'd thought I might see about working it into the main archive now, but
if I don't, then yes, we should have a backport.  And either way, I'd be
happy to have your help.
