keepalived backport for wheezy ?

Hi,
we use a backported keepalived on our wheezy firewalls for a while now.
The main reason for the backport was the availability of virtual macs
on jessie version.
Would you maintain such a backport ? I would gladly maintain it myself
(I already do so anyway for our own needs), but I'd need a sponsor to
do so, as I'm no DD nor DM.
I uploaded the latest version on mentors for review in case you or
someone else would be willing to sponsor me :

Cheers,
