I also prefer to use stable backports on a stable system then apt-pinning and 
packages from testing. So also thanks from me to everyone maintaining 
backports in Debian backports!

If that's happening, the maintainer is using backports wrongly, squeeze is 
still supported.

But I agree, the Debian security team should formally care for backports too.
