Requesting squeeze-backport of gdb (PIE support)

Hello,

a few programs in Debian Squeeze are compiled with PIE (Position
Independent Executable). It's impossible to debug these because gdb is
too old ( http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=346409 ).

gdb from Debian Testing supports PIE. I was able to debug PIE programs
if I installed the .deb from wheezy, but this made my apt-get always
complain about broken dependencies. I tried compiling the package
myself, but failed, so I was hoping someone smarter/more experienced
could backport it!
