I think sometimes you don't want it because it has too many
disadvantages. But impossible? Not sure about that...

What I see many packages can be backported really easy.

Because I like to run stable with only a few backports.

Never said so.

The point is that it's different for everybody what backports he/she
needs. There are many packages without a backport.

I think many packages could be backported full automatically after
uploading to sid, is this idea ever discussed? (I understand that it's
not easy to realize!)
