Ouch! Really Brent, saying it in innocuous terms doesn't make it less
offensive in my opinion, and it wasn't even directed at me. 

It wouldn't be a good practice to amend backport policies just to help
someone "get around" management. In addition, many of the people reading
this list will be sys admins or CIOs who might question the act of
"getting around" management on principle. I suppose if you can't make a
case for an exception to their policies, you could hide where you got
the package but you really need to get management to listen to your
advice or you will likely have trouble in the future.
