I didn't see it in the FAQ or docs but perhaps it would be helpful to mention that when the current backports.org is in a transition period (such as for Nagios3 at the moment that seems to be concerning to people) that snapshot.debian.org is keeping archives of the historical state of various Debian repositories including backports.org. http://snapshot.debian.org/ Someone trying to install something and finds that they can't because it is in a transition betwixt and between package versions should be able to point to a previous version using snapshot's wayback machine and install the immediately preceding package version. They can always upgrade later when it has worked through the buildd network. It might be worth a mention. WDYT? Bob
