Re: Request for Flash Player 9.0.151.0 on Etch
Hi list and dear maintainers,
another security-related update for Adobe's Flash Player 9 for Linux is
available [1]. Adobes security advisory [2] claims that "this potential
vulnerability [could allow an attacker] to take control of the affected
system".
I've already asked Christian Marillat if he'd again be so nice to provide an
update to flashplayer-mozilla for debian-multimedia.org.
Since [2] seems to be a grave security issue, it should be either lead to a
backports-security-announce [3] or a removal of the (vulnerable)
flashplugin-nonfree from backports.org.
Of course a world without Flash and alikes would be a better one... *sigh*
