Backport of checkinstall

Hi,

I've just created a backport of checkinstall, trying to follow the
instructions given on www.backports.org:
http://micha.lenk.info/debian/etch-backports/checkinstall_1.6.1-5~bpo40+1.dsc

Unfortunately the package seems to fail to build from source for 64 bit
architectures if it's build with libc6 from Debian Etch (see #422213 for
more details). Hence I restricted the build to Architecture: i386.

I don't know whether this package is suitable for inclusion on
www.backports.org, but maybe it's useful for other i386 users...
