backports for octave

Can someone please provide backports for octave 2.9.12? Currently it is only
in unstable. If that is an issue, can someone please provide backports once
it trickles into testing?

I would like to install 2.9.12 since 2.9.9 currently does not support
exporting eps files from scripts containing subplot commands (
