snort?
Anybody (did|is willing to make) a backport of snort package for Sarge?
Current status:
<http://www.debian.org/releases/woody/>
Oldstable 1.8.4beta1-3.1
Stable 2.3.2-3
Testing 2.3.3-8
Unstable 2.3.3-8
But upstram:
2.6.0.1
2.4.5
They say that to fully utilize the latest sniffing rulesets, one is
encouraged to use the most recent Snort revision.
Looking at the enhancements of Snort 2.6, I think it's worth the
upgrade. But I admit I'm new to Snort, so I welcome the advice.
Thanks for answer.
