The kernel meta-package is still missing, which was already discussed
on this mailinglist.

Thanks for the reply. I thought I tried to do this on my last
iteration, but apparently the missing meta-package borked up the install
on the linux-image-2.6-xen-686, and so it never got to the actual
linux-image file.
