xserver xorg, can't switch to vt or another xsession...

Hi,

I installed all backports on my sarge box a few weeks ago.

So my xserver-xfree86 was replaced by xserver-xorg. Since then I can't switch 
to virtual terminals (ctrl+alt+f1 ... and so on) or to another xsession 
(ctrl+alt+f8) anymore. 

Any hints what went wrong on switching to xorg?
