looking at the build-dependencies it looks like you need to backport a
lot of gnome libraries before you can start compiling gnucash 2.0 on
sarge.

Hmmm, so what is the best way to proceed. I see gnucash 2.0 is in sid but not etch. I guess the best way is to get the build depends for gnu cash from sid and compile them in sarge....
