supernovas package is ready for review
Hi DebianAstro,
The supernovas package is nor ready for review, and is seeking a sponsor
to move on. :-)
I did my best to follow all the guides I could find to conform with the
packaging requirements for libraries. I took a small exception with the
non-identical (but similar!) naming of the package vs the libraries
contained therein, but I hope that's forgivable (the documentations
encourage the same naming, but do not seem to require it, and I know
that there are other libs that take that exception also, like 'cfitsio').
The salsa CI passes. (Well, the arm64 cross build still has issues with
getting build dependencies installed -- but someone seems to be already
on it, because the issues keep getting fewer. I'm impressed with whoever
is maintaining the pipeline, because that is some excellent quick work
there! - Yay!)
I have, in parallel, prepared a Fedora package also, with essentially
the same packaging and contents. That too is currently under review.
Between feedback and recommendations I will get here and there, I'd like
them to keep them reconciled so that users can expect the same thing
across different distros. It might mean some more back-and-forth, but
it's for a good cause, and I hope you won't mind.
Thanks for all the help already and for what is yet to come.
cheers,
-- Attila.
