I briefly looked into this a few months ago.  Initial support for
Alpine was added in March/April but there have been no changes since
then.  Annapurna Labs was bought by Amazon.com.  I'm not sure what
this means for upstream support, but right now the only way to get the
TS-231+ supported in Debian is to first do some serious kernel work.

If you haven't bought a TS-231+ already, I suggest you take a look at
the Seagate Personal Cloud (1 or 2 bay) or Seagate NAS (2 or 4 bay).
They are based on a Marvell Armada 370 CPU and will be supported in
Linux 4.4.  I intend to add Debian support.
